Watercolour Botanicals

Traditionally, Botanical Watercolours accurately represented the plant, roots, seeds, buds, flowers and leaves. They also tried to show the life cycle of the plant from bud to dying bloom. Our classes are more relaxed in composition focusing on learning how to paint the home grown garden blooms in watercolour.

This class is ideal for beginners as working from life is the best way to develop your observational skills and learning how to establish a focal point and highlights in your English Cottage Garden Botanicals. Every stage will be demonstrated.

Our adult classes are flexible with modern life, missed classes are not forfeited for weekly classes. However, a minimum attendance is expected to cover the cost of materials.

Our purpose built studio is north facing, flood lit in natural light and air conditioned for your comfort. To ensure you receive the maximum from your art workshop experience quality art materials are supplied for use.

We break for afternoon tea.
