The step by step approach in our painting classes make them ideal for those that would like to try painting for the first time and advanced students that want to refine their techniques. Students that prefer a freer approach to explore process and paint are supported with a well stocked and organised studio. Choose from our portfolio of paintings or work on your own creation.

ACRYLIC paint is a fast-drying medium that can be used for both traditional and modern styles of painting. Learning how to extend, manipulate the paint and use wet palettes is crucial to achieving a professional finish.

OIL paint is the most versatile of all art mediums. Its slow drying time allows for plenty of time to rework changes, making it perfect for beginners. Choose to work in thin glazes with fine detail or build up to impasto with a palette knife. Solvents are used for cleaning oil painting brushes only at the end of each class.

WATERCOLOUR paint is the most popular medium used by artists today. The main quality and appeal is the transparency of washes built up from light to dark whilst maintaining the inner light of the painting.

The beginner Acrylic, Oil and Watercolour classes include all materials required. Ongoing art classes the canvas’ and watercolour paper is to be supplied by students or purchased through the studio for a nominal fee.

Our adult classes are flexible with modern life, missed classes are not forfeited for weekly classes. However, a minimum attendance is expected to cover the cost of materials.

Our purpose built studio is north facing, flood lit in natural light and air conditioned for your comfort. To ensure you receive the maximum from your art workshop experience quality art materials are supplied for use during the course and wet paintings can be left each week to dry.

We break for morning and afternoon tea.
